Overgrown hedges can cause problems – and with hedgerow legislation in place, you risk being fined if you’re not compliant. You need to make sure your hedge is kept tidy, at an appropriate height and that maintenance is carried out at the right time of year (e.g. not between March and August as this is now generally illegal) so as not to affect local wildlife and birds.

For this job we use our heavy duty tractor mounted Protech twin blade saw cutter, for those extremely stubborn bushes which need a little help. We find that the Protech saw blade is perfect for country stewardship work and for bushes which are too heavy for flailing. It leaves a very clean cut hedge and is capable of cutting up to 250mm in diameter.
