Overgrown hedges can cause problems – and with hedgerow legislation in place, you risk being fined if you’re not compliant. You need to make sure your hedge is kept tidy, at an appropriate height and that maintenance is carried out at the right time of year (e.g. not between March and August as this is now generally illegal) so as not to affect local wildlife and birds.
Take advantage of an expert service from a team of specialist hedge cutters. We are experienced in all sizes and shapes of hedge. You’ll have peace of mind that you’re not violating the Wildlife and Countryside Act.
For this job we use our heavy duty tractor mounted Protech twin blade saw cutter, for those extremely stubborn bushes which need a little help. We find that the Protech saw blade is perfect for country stewardship work and for bushes which are too heavy for flailing. It leaves a very clean cut hedge and is capable of cutting up to 250mm in diameter.
For saw cutting availability, give us a call on 01664 900044.
You’ll find us experienced at earthmoving for purposes such as preparing a site for agricultural building and development.
We also clear areas for reservoirs, lakes and ponds.

Topping removes the aerial part of a crop, preventing seeds from forming and being distributed onto the soil. In grasslands, regular topping encourages new growth and suppresses weeds. It’s an efficient way of managing the land for optimum output.

“Brian and his team are reliable and have a great depth of knowledge: they were quick to determine our land and drainage layout and spotted issues that had been missed by other professionals, but offered simple solutions to what we thought would be big costly jobs, so we were very pleased.
Brian planned our drainage system for usability and cost-effectiveness, and offered suggestions on renewable and sustainable sources, such as collecting and pumping back rainwater for toilet flushing, which for our home will make a huge impact both financially and environmentally.
I would highly recommend BTAC and would not hesitate to contact them with any land or drainage query.”
