At BTAC, we are always committed to offering our clients the very best services we can, I believe that forward-thinking companies should never stand still, in other words, if you can make improvements to your service offering, you should do so. That’s why we’ve recently taken the decision to invest in a new mulcher. This piece of equipment is going to help us provide an even better service.

Why a new Mulcher?
The fact is that pieces of equipment like this don’t come cheaply but we think the expenditure was worth it. This is because of the wide range of uses we can put it to. Generally speaking, mulchers allow vegetation to be cut down without creating a lot of debris. Others systems we could have gone for may get a similar job done but they are not always so good at preventing mess. That’s a clear advantage when you are talking about clearing an overgrown path or driveway which will be used soon after the work has been carried out, for example.

Another good reason to choose a new mulcher is that it now allows us to cut banks with much greater ease. The model we have chosen, made by Robustrack, attaches to one our ten-tonne diggers and it can be angled to keep verges and embankments looking neat and tidy at any time of the year, this means we have a versatile piece of equipment that is just as good for boundary maintenance for larger landowners throughout the East Midlands as well as for maintaining sports fields, paddocks, cuttings and play areas.
A Forestry Rotor Flail Mower and Agricultural Mulcher

Our new piece of equipment complements the cutting machinery we already have in place, of course. The fact the we’ve chosen a forestry rotor type of flail mower means that all sorts of vegetation can be taken back neatly. For instance, even bushes and brambles that have established themselves somewhat will be cut back to no higher than about 12cm when they have been exposed to the blades of the forestry rotor. After all, it is specifically designed for mulching tougher than usual material.

What’s more, we can still adjust the distance between the cutting level and the ground at any time too. This means we would increase it where necessary to avoid large rocks or debris, for example, lower it to ensure a very close cut is carried out. There are a numerous different settings we can make use of to meet the specific requirements of our clients. Indeed, because the forestry rotor flail mower is more adaptable than other types, it also means that we can use it in places we might not have been able to get to before. Some pathway clearances were just too tight before but that’s no longer the case thanks to our latest investment.

Please don’t hesitate to call me on 01664 900044 to discuss any of your service requirements, whether you need our brand new Robustrack flail mower or not.

Thanks, Brian.
